You may be apprehensive about allowing someone into your closet or your dressing room.  We understand that this is your personal space where you decide how you will present yourself to the world.  And, you have to spend money on the choices you make.  Dime Diva wants you to feel secure that you have selected pieces that reflect your true self.  So what should you know before deciding to have your own personal shopper or stylist?

How does it work?

When you call Dime Diva, you set the objectives.  You tell us what you need/want.  Are you looking to update your seasonal wardrobe with a few key pieces, are you looking for one fabulous outfit for a night out, or just for a funky pair of cowboy boots?  Once we determine your wants/needs, your budget, and your personal profile [view description under “Style Consulting” on the Services page], our selections will suit your body, your style, and your wallet. 

What do stylists do?

Stylists work with you to create a single look or an entire wardrobe suited to your personal style.

What do personal shoppers do?

A personal shopper assists you with a level of individualized attention and service way beyond what a typical retail associate would offer.  A shopper can help you pull together an entire season’s wardrobe based on your needs, budget, and style, or find just the right gift for another based on your suggestions.

Is a fashion stylist and personal shopper for average people, or just for the rich and famous?

Dime Diva’s services are available to everyone no matter your shopping budget or needs.  Everyone wants to feel and look their best and that’s what we help you do.

Why would I want to work with a stylist or personal shopper?

Maybe you have a special event or important job on the horizon and you want to look your best.  Maybe you find yourself always buying the same thing and never really looking the way you would like to.  Maybe you feel pressured when you walk into a store and see all the selections.  You may find that after too much time, you leave the store with nothing but disappointment and dissatisfaction.  Or, maybe you just need a little general guidance in how to put your look together.  A stylist or personal shopper can help you in all these areas, and more.  

Who chooses where we shop – me or Dime Diva?

We don’t force our tastes on you.  Your shopping experience is a joint effort.  We can shop at any store from Target and Sears to Nordstrom and Macy’s.

What is closet editing?

Dime Diva will help you do away with the things that don’t work for you and provide advice in making fresh choices that suit your style, body, budget, lifestyle, and personality.  You make the final call on what to get rid of, store or give away, have altered, or keep.

Does my closet have to be organized?

No.  You may take out pieces that you are particularly interested in “hooking up,” or we can just open up your closet  and start at the beginning.

Does Dime Diva work with plus size women?

We work with women of all sizes and shapes – all women are beautiful.  Dime Diva believes a woman who looks good and feels good in her clothes radiates confidence and beauty.

What does it cost to work with a personal shopper or stylist? 

Dime Diva charges fees either hourly or based on a percentage of merchandise purchased. 

Is there anything else I need to know before working with Dime Diva?

Dime Diva has one requirement – you must try on what we ask you to try on.  You are not obligated to buy it, but trying it on can open your eyes to new colors, styles, and fabrics that complement you.
